Brandon Police Service Media Release

Arrest Warrants Executed:

On May 1, 2017 at approximately 11:27 p.m., a female attended to the Brandon Police Service and turned herself in, as she was aware of an outstanding Warrant for her Arrest for Fail to Appear in Court. The 35-year-old female from Brandon was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday.

At 6:09 p.m., Police attended to a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of 6th Street. A 18- year- old female from Brandon was involved in the disturbance and found to have an unendorsed warrant for her Arrest for Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Attend Court. The female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday.

 

Stolen Utility Trailer:

At 1:25 p.m., a resident form the 600 Block of Percy Street called Police to report a 2102 Sterling utility trailer was stolen from the back yard of the residence sometime between April 28th at 3:30 p.m. and May 1st at 1:00 p.m. The trailer is described as 5 X 10, grey/silver in color with MB. Licence plate T699W. Police continue to investigate this theft.

Other Arrests:

At 3:56 a.m., Police were called to a residence and removed a female from the residence who was intoxicated and causing problems. The 31-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Breach of the Peace and detained at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.

AT 4:19 a.m., Police attended to an apartment in the 600 Block of 11th Street for what was reported as a Robbery in progress at a neighbouring apartment. The call was found to be false and the same person called Police 5 different times throughout the night also reporting unsubstantiated crimes. The 46 year old female caller was arrested for Breach of the Peace and detained at the Brandon Correctional Center to prevent a continuation of the calls.

At 3:40 p.m., Police were called to the 300 Block of 9th Street to a report of a group of intoxicated people in the area. A 42-year-old man was located and was too intoxicated to care for himself. The man was detained under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act to be released when sober.
