At 6:20 PM, staff from a business in the 3100 Block of Victoria Avenue called Police to report that two male youths had set a fire in the parkade of the business and spray painted on the back of the building. Both were apprehended at the scene and further investigation revealed that they also spray painted a fence on Cherry Crescent. Two 13-year-old male youth, both from Brandon were arrested for Mischief to Property X 2 and were released to attend Court in May.

No damage was caused as a result of the fire.




At 7:40 PM, a 29-year-old man from Split Lake, MB attended to Brandon Police Service and turned himself in on an RCMP outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The man was released to attend Court in June.




On Monday afternoon, Police responded to a residence in the 1100 Block of Rosser Avenue east after the homeowner reported a locked shed on the property had been broken into. The latch on the front of the shed had been pried off and a toolbox containing numerous tools had been stolen. The approximate value of stolen items is $400. Police continue to investigate.




At 10:25 PM, Police attended to a disturbance in a residence in the 200 Block of 8th Street. A 49-year-old man became argumentative with a female in the residence and refused to leave. The man was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to prevent and escalation of the situation.
