In the Last 24 Hours:

 

Robberies

 

On April 15th, members of Brandon Police Service arrested a 19 year old Brandon man for offences related to criminal activity over a 3 day period of April 12th, 14th, and 15th. The man was charged in relation to four seperate incidents including four robberies and other criminal activity related to the same charges. As these incidents are still under investigation, further information will be released in the near future.

 

Warrants for Arrest

 

At 2:25 pm Police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of 10 St. As a result both the 35 year old female driver from Wasagamack and the 27 year old male passenger were both arrested on outstanding warrants for Assault. Both subjects were released for later court dates.

 

A 30 year old Brandon man was arrested by Shoal Lake RCMP for BPS warrant for Breach of Undertaking. He was arrested and held for court.

 

At 10:30 pm Police located a 17 year old youth from Beresford in a vehicle and were aware that she had a warrant for Breach of Probation. Upon police attempting to apprehend the youth she attempted to flee and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The accused was arrested and later turned over to the RCMP to be returned home.

 

Theft Under $5,000

 

A 32-year-old female turned herself into Brandon Police on todays date as she was aware that she was being investigated for a theft from a business in the 800 block of 18th St N on April 10th. She was charged and released for court at a later date.

 

Mischief to Property

 

At 10 pm police received a call from a residence in the 600 block of Victoria Ave E stating that a 26 year old Brandon man had caused damaged by putting a couple of holes in the wall. He was charged and released for a later court date.

 

Breach of Undertaking

 

Just after midnight, a call was received to remove a person from a residence in the 200 block of 8th St as he had been drinking there and would not leave the residence. Upon Police arrival, they located the 48 year old Brandon man there and he was found to be breaching his conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol and was arrested and transported to BCC to be held until sober and released for a later court date.
