ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE

 

At 2:44 PM, Police received a report that a male was being beat up by two other males in the 600 Block of Louise Avenue. Police responded to the area and located a 23-year-old man in the 500 Block of Louise Avenue. The man was identified as one of the suspects and the phone belonging to the victim was located in the pocket of the man. The 23-year-old male victim sustained cuts, swelling and bruising to his face and was transported to BRHC for medical treatment. The suspect was arrested for Robbery with Violence and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday. Police continue to investigate to identify and locate the other male responsible for this offence.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

At 6:15 PM, staff from a business in the 1600 Block of 18th Street called Police to report that they had a shoplifter in custody for attempting to steal over $200 worth of merchandise. Police attended and arrested a 43-year-old female for Theft Under $5000. The female was released to attend Court in May.

 

MISCHIEF TO PROPERTY UNDER $5000

 

At 2:15 PM, Police received a call from a resident in the 700 Block of 9th Street reporting that a male came to their door saying he was stabbed. The male was located in the 800 Block of 9th Street bleeding from his leg.  Investigation revealed that the male earlier attended to a residence in the 700 Block of 10th Street where he kicked in a window to the residence, which caused a large cut to his leg. The highly intoxicated 18-year-old male was arrested for Mischief to Property and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober to attend Court in May.

 

ARREST WARRANT EXECUTED

 

A 27-year-old female from Brandon was in the company of the man arrested for Mischief to Property. The female was found to have an Unendorsed Warrant for her arrest for Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Fail to Attend Court and Fail to Attend for Prints. The female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Tuesday.

 

BREACH OF COURT ORDER

 

A 34-year-old man in custody at the Brandon Correctional Center was arrested for Breach of Court Order after attempting to contact two females by phone while bound by a Court Order to not contact or communicate with either person. The man will appear in Court on Tuesday.

 

A 19-year-old man in custody at the Brandon Correctional Center was arrested for Breach of Court Order after attempting to contact a female by phone while bound by a Court Order to not contact or communicate with the female. The man will appear in Court on Tuesday.
