THEFT UNDER $5000 / FRAUDULENTLY OBTAINING FOOD

 

A 31-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and Fraudulently Obtaining Food. On April 8th, Police received a complaint from a female victim that her purse was stolen from within a business in the 800 Block of Pacific Avenue. Video surveillance footage was obtained of the theft and investigation revealed the identity of the suspect. On April 9th, the female suspect was arrested for the theft of the purse and the suspect was identified as an individual responsible for obtaining food by fraud which occurred on April 3rd from a restaurant in the 1100 Block of 18th Street. The suspect fled the restaurant after failing to pay a $60 tab. The suspect was released to attend Court in June.

 

PROHIBITED DRIVING

 

At 5:37 PM, Police stopped a vehicle in the 700 Block of 9th Street. The 25-year-old male driver of the vehicle from Brandon was found to be Prohibited from Driving and was arrested and released to attend Court in June.

 

OTHER ARREST

 

At 4:56 PM, Police received a report that a male was passed out at 8th Street and Rosser Avenue. A 28-year-old man from Brandon was located and found to be highly intoxicated. The man was detained at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober.
