Breach of Probation and Warrants


At 6:40 am, police attended to a residence in the 1500 block of 3rd St because of a disturbance call. A 27 year old Brandon man was located at the residence and initially provided police with a false name and once his identity was learned it was determined that he was breaching his non communication order as he was not to have contact with the female at the residence. He was charged with Public Mischief and Breach of Probation and also arrested on his outstanding warrants for arrest. He was lodged at BCC for court.


Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking


At 12:15 pm, Police were called to a business in the 1800 block of 1st St N because of a male who would not leave the premises. Upon police arrival, they located a 30-year-old Estevan Saskatchewan male who had attempted to barricade himself in a room and upon Police gaining entry to the room he was found to be in possession of approx. 8 grams of cocaine along with other items related to drug trafficking. The subject was arrested and held for court in the morning.


Domestic Assault and Breach of Recognizance


At 2:30 pm, a couple of calls were received of a possible fight going on between a male and female in the area of the 200 block of 20th St. Police attended to the area and located the 24 year old Brandon man in the 000 block of 18th St attempting to start and altercation with an uninvolved male. Through further investigation, it was determined that the male had punched the 25-year-old Brandon woman in the face during the initial altercation and the male was arrested for assault. The female was also arrested for breaching her Recognizance as she was breaching her orders by having consumed alcohol. Both subjects were intoxicated and were held until sober to be released with later court dates.




At 3:30 pm a call was received from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave stating they had a female in custody for shoplifting. The 26-year-old Brandon woman was arrested for Theft Under $5,000 as she had attempted to steal $40 worth of merchandise. She was released for a later court date.


Other arrests


2 other individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace due to alcohol related issues.
