POSSESS STOLEN PRPOERTY / UTTERING A FORGED DOCUMENT

 

On March 7 2017, a male was given a forged cheque, which he knew to be stolen and was asked to cash the cheque. In exchange for completing this, the male would be given $40.00. On April 6, the 26-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Uttering a Forged Document. The man was released to attend Court in June. Police continue to investigate the Theft and Forgery.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

On Thursday afternoon, an employee of a business located in the 900 Block of Victoria Avenue apprehended a female after she stole approximately $100.00 worth of merchandise. The 24-year-old female from Brandon was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released to attend Court in May.

 

On March 20 2017, Police began investigation after a man stole an item valued at $33.00 from a business in the 600 Block of 18th Street. The theft was captured on video surveillance and the man was subsequently identified. On Thursday evening, the 20 year old man Rivers Manitoba was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released to attend Court in May.

 

ARREST WARRANT EXECUTED

 

At 2:30 PM, Police received information that a female attended to a downtown business and is bound by a Recognizance with a condition to not attend that location. Police located the female who was also found to have an Unendorsed Warrant for Breach of Recognizance. The 21-year-old female was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Friday.

 

 

OTHER ARRESTS

 

A 14-year-old male youth was arrested for Breach of Probation and Fail to Attend Court. He was released to attend Court in May.

 

A 26-year-old female breached conditions of a Probation Order by contacting a male numerous times whom she is on conditions to not contact or communicate. The female was arrested and released to attend Court in May.

 

AT 5:20 AM, Police responded to a disturbance on Baker Bay. A highly intoxicated male and female were causing problems in the residence. The 32-year-old male was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober. The 24-year-old female was found to be the subject of a Recognizance order with a condition to not have contact or communication with the male. The female was arrested for Breach Recognizance and lodged the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Friday.
